Day 1
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
We’ll pick you up from your hotel and introduce you to your tour guide and chef before driving approximately 2 hours to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its unique landscapes and iconic baobab trees. The park hosts the highest concentration of elephants in Tanzania, giving you an excellent chance to observe their social interactions.
Our game drive will follow reports of animal activity, with herbivores such as giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests easier to spot, while predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs may require more patience. Around midday, we’ll stop at the Tarangire River picnic site for lunch, enjoying riverside views while monkeys and baboons curiously try to join. After lunch, the game drive continues, and we’ll exit the park by approximately 4:30 pm.

Day 2
Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
The Ngorongoro Crater, with its rich volcanic soil, supports diverse habitats, making it possible to encounter the Big Five in a single day. Within the crater lies Lake Makat — a soda lake in Maasai — which attracts numerous bird species. The area is also home to several Maasai families living in their traditional circular bomas, offering a glimpse into their unique culture.
Additionally, the crater is significant for anyone interested in human evolution, as it played a key role in the pioneering work of the Leakey family. Wildlife commonly seen includes lion, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, hippo, gazelle, jackal, fox, wild dog, eland, waterbuck, serval, and various other ungulates, while giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, and elephants are rarely observed at the crater rim. By evening, you will return to Arusha and be dropped off at your hotel.
